"We have been inaugurating projects in each of the islands we have visited in the atoll, and this trend is expected to continue," President Solih said.

He added that they have completed 68 new offices and opened 48 new powerhouses.

President Solih said that an additional 28 powerhouses on 28 islands will be operational within the next two to three months, prior to the elections. Moreover, several projects undertaken by the Ministry of Education throughout the atolls are also nearing completion.

Additionally, President Solih assured that the 122 water and sewerage projects underway in various islands will be completed soon.

“Most of the islands will receive [basic] services from July and August,” he added.
